Anisha Gangwani

Anisha Gangwani is Chief Investment Officer for Legal & General America, responsible for asset allocation and portfolio management decisions for L&G’s approx. $10bn US insurance balance sheet. Prior to this, Anisha was Head of Investment Business Development at Legal & General Retirement in the UK, and a member of the Reinsurance Board and Investment Committees. With her team, Anisha was responsible for LGRI’s asset sourcing initiatives in new geographies and new asset classes. She was also responsible for development and integration of sustainability best practices into LGRI’s portfolio. 

Prior to joining L&G, Anisha was Head of Illiquid Investments at Direct Line Group in the UK. She was responsible for developing the investment strategy on divestment from RBS Insurance to support general insurance, overseeing the changes required to support the transition under Solvency II, investing in new asset classes, and manager selection.  

Anisha holds a master’s degree in finance and economics from the London School of Economics and is a CFA charter holder.
